Every year, the PhysicalPub association organises dozens of telescope observing evenings: events that are accessible to everyone, at which we make our knowledge and instrumentation available so that together we can dedicate ourselves to the starry sky and its observation.
PhysicalPub's observing evenings are events usually divided into three parts. We start with a projection of some astronomical images, accompanied by the words of our experts, to introduce the objects we are going to observe. Next, we consider the main constellations visible that night and their legends, orienting ourselves in the sky thanks to astronomical lasers. Finally, we choose a few objects and observe them directly with our telescopes, under the expert guidance of our staff.
Some observing evenings will take place in isolated mountain pastures, where you can take a walk before sunset and maybe even stay in a tent until the next morning. Other events, on the other hand, take advantage of the support of some restaurants or alpine huts.
